American Oystercatcher

The American Oystercatcher specializes in eating oysters, clams and mussels, but will also eat marine worms, sand crabs and jellyfish. You can find them along shores on beaches, bays, tidal flats, mud flats and marshes. They are unmistakable with their long bright orange bill and black head.
