Located on the border of Ontario, Canada and New York, Niagara Falls is certainly something to see. If you have never visited, you should really consider going. I recommend the Canada side, as that has the better view of the American Falls, Bridal Veil Falls and the Canadian Horseshoe Falls. The falls are free to view 24/7 year round. The best time to see them is in peak tourist season of June-August, when the flow is greatest. Niagara Falls is the second largest falls in the world next to Victoria Falls in South Africa. Twenty percent of the world's freshwater is in the Great Lakes, and most of that flows over Niagara Falls.
