Rocks State Park
Located in northern Hartford County, Maryland, Rocks State Park is a hidden treasure. There are 895 acres of rocky forest full of picnic areas, hiking trails, fishing in Deer Creek and the King and Queens Seat. Just a short drive away from the main park is Falling Branch. This sister park is 67 acres and is home to the 17 foot tall Kilgore Falls, which is the second highest vertical drop waterfall in Maryland. The park is open every day from sunrise to sunset, and it is a spectacular site year round.
