Owls

Owls are elusive. They can be very easy to hear during the dawn and dusk hours, but they are practically impossible to spot in the trees. I set a goal to capture a photo of an owl in the wild in 2017, which I was not able to complete. However, in June 2018 I was able to meet that goal. It is a very powerful experience to have an owl look you straight in the eye, and I cannot wait to find more of these beauties in nature, even if just to "pet the whale" as they say.
