Heritage Rail Trail County Park
What is commonly called simply the Rail Trail, the Heritage Rail Trail County Park is an amazing feat of taking existing rail lines (some still in use) and creating a fantastic park system out of them. You can ride your bicycle, push a stroller, walk and run along the flat and wide path beside the railroad tracks. There are many sections of the Rail Trail across the state of Pennsylvania, with the goal to some day have them all connect and take you from Philadelphia to Pittsburgh. Markers are posted for each mile along the way, so you can easily keep track of the distance you travel. The Rail Trail is a very popular park frequently by people of all ages all throughout the year.
